I am researching the people on both sides of my family, the Barnes and Jacobs. The Barnes side is supposed to go back to Rob Roy Macgregor in Scotland, and the Jacobs side to England. Quite a bit of work has been done so far on the Jacobs side, but not much on Barnes. My Grandfather Harold (Jock) Barnes died recently. He was a well known figure in New Zealand.
