  Notes for Josephine Cecil:
The following passage was submitted by Rose Mary (Hammond) King:

"Most of you didn't know or remember Mama Bennett. She was Mama Stout's mother - Josephine (Cecil) Bennett. She lived in Paoli, Indiana. We'd all go to visit her when I was a kid. She lived in a house converted to apartments. I remember at different times she lived in the front apartment, other times, upstairs. When we were young, there was an outside toilet, probably the only one I'd ever seen. She laughed a lot like Mama Stout (Lois Bennett). She liked her coffee and fried chicken. She always had a lot of flowers in her yard. She was excited when I was pregnant with Lynn. This would be 5 generations. She didn't live to see that happen. She died of a stroke in February of 1965 - Lynn was born July 1965."

Josephine's sister, Leora, married Edd Bennett, the uncle of Josephine's husband, Leonard Alonzo Bennett.
