He married SALLIE WILLIE ELLIOTT June 10, 1906 in Deweyville, Newton, Texas, daughter of SAINT ELLIOTT and ASBURY JONES. She was born January 21, 1887 in Marengo Co., Alabama, and died May 11, 1954 in Monkey Run, Baxter Co., Ar.

Notes for FRANK CALDWELL DAVIS, SR.:
Dad's birth certificate lists him as 52, Aug of 1919 making his birth year 1867 the information from Edith who has the family bible lists 1866. He had a brother named Younger and one named Charles ( according to George )and a sister Mary. May have been around Scott, Mo. George said he was born in McAllister,Ok. 1920 census lists Missouri. Married in Dewey, TX . according to Dad.(or Deweyville) Found in 1920 California Census Fresno Co. Page 157 sheet #14. (305-458 place
of abode)

Notes for SALLIE WILLIE ELLIOTT:
Information from daughter Edith Sweatman is as follows: According to the book published in 1969, a nephew of of Grandmother Jones told the writer that our great grandfather was 1/8 Indian, a descendant of Chief Chee Ossie. Uncle Sid once told Edith that his family was 1/4 Indian, no tribe name given. Sallie Davis told Edith that we are cousins of Pocahontas. She took it that it was on the Indian side. but Pocahontas married an Englishman and had 2 sons.
