March 6, 1798

                                            Last Will & Testament of Henry Wilhelm

 

            Agreeable to the last request and decree of our father, Henry Wilhelm, now deceased, which was as follows: that after the payment of his lawful debts that his wife should have her third first, and the rest of his estate, both real and personal, should be equally divided among all his children.  Except the wagon and four oxen which he considered should be equally divided among his sons, Henry, George, Peter, and his daughter Christina.  His wife one cow, which they each have over and above their above mentioned part.  We the rest of his children, whose names are under written, doth agree and by these presents acknowledge to give up all our rights, title, claims, and interest of the above mentioned wagon, oxen, and cow as above requested given under our hands this day and year above written.

Baltimore County to wit on the 13th day of April 1798 came William Matthews and John Bray and made oath that they heard Henry Wilhelm declare the enforcing instrument of his last will and desired that it should be received as such that at the time of his so doing he was of sound mind and memory though unable to sign his name swore before me Registrar of Wills for Baltimore County.
