My family has been in Canada, Newfoundland since at least 1740. Descendants came from Kent or Sussex England. Probably descendant from Sir George Peckham and/or Archbishop John Peckham. My family lived in Trinity East, Newfoundland. It is thought that the ancestor was one of four brothers, three of whom immigrated to United States and one of the three went north - probably the one from which my family descended!!!
