MajorCharles Seay was graduated from Cumberland University and practiced law in Memphis until the outbreak of war when he raised a company of troops, was later transferred to Forrest's Cavalry with the rank of major, and served until the close of hostilities.He was killed in Smith County, Tenn., July 1891.
