Benjamin Franklin Peck (son of Benjamin F. Peck and Anna Averill) was born September 23, 1819 in Victor, Ontario, New York, and died June 01, 1902 in Terra Cotta, McHenry, Illinois. He married (1) Mary Matilda Allby on November 19, 1835 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio. He married (2) Sarah Ann Coleman on December 20, 1848 in Lorain county, Ohio, daughter of John Coleman and Sarah Coleman.

Benjamin was one of the early settelers to the McHenry county area. He and his wife Sarah Coleman arrived in Nunda Township, Illinois in 1856.
At the age of 43, he is listed as being in the Civil War out of Nunda in 1862.
In the 1870 census, there is a Mary Flanders, age 17, born in Illinois living with the family.
He is listed in the 1877 Directory of McHenry county as living in Sec. 10. and is a farmer.
The 1880 census, has Benjamin listed as Frank B., instead Benjamin F. He is living in Nunda.
According to a newspaper article in 1879 that reported on Anna's 37th Bd party/family reunion, the family moved from Vt to Victor, Ontario, Ny in 1816 and then in 1836, moved to Lorain county, Ohio.
The 1880 census, has Benjamin listed as Frank B., instead Benjamin F. He is living in Nunda.
According to the 1900 census, Benjamin is still living in Nunda and owns his farm free of mortgage. As of 1900, only 4 of the 8 children are still living.
Benjamin died at the age of 82, in 1902.
