Notes for Elizabeth Lizzie Alice Arnold: After speaking to Phillip, the only living son of Alice and Joe Wyatt, he gave the following account of my Aunt Alice's death. She had gotten up that morning and had just put on her shoes. she bent over to get a "stick of stove wood" in order to start the morning fire. As she did she slumped to the floor and was dead. Phillip was, stationed in Tennessee at the time, was called home.
