Find Family
We are just beginning to delve into our family history. The Peckyno family originated in the Carpathia-Rusyn areas of Europe (in a small country once known as Ruthenia) and began their immigration to the United States in the early 1900's. We know that the first voyage was on an as yet undetermined Italian ship. They settled in Western Pennsylvania around 1915 and took up roots in Monessen, PA.

In addition to following the Peckyno line, we have attempted to trace the roots of many Peckyno spouses in order to get a better understanding of what part our ancestors have played in the evolution of the United States. We have included a rather detailed description of the Wall family, which we traced back to the mid 1700's in the US.

More work is needed, but we hope to add more detailed information on the Peckyno, Anderson, and Kissler families soon. We would also love to add any additional information about YOUR branch of the Peckyno family. Anyone with more information regarding these families in the Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, and Sub-Carpathia areas is encouraged to contact us.

This project is for the whole family and everyone is encouraged to help. If your information is not correct or complete, please email me and I will update it as soon as possible. I have included a data errors report of things that we need to complete the tree. (Please help, it's huge)
