| The Peckyno family originated in the Carpathia-Rusyn areas of Europe (in a small country once known as Ruthenia) and began their immigration to the United States in the early 1900's. We know that the first voyage was on an as yet undetermined Italian ship. They settled in Western Pennsylvania around 1915 and took up roots in Monessen, PA. Included a also rather detailed description of the Wall family, which we traced back to the mid 1700's in the US through Jean (Kissler) Peckyno We would also love to add any additional information about YOUR branch of the Peckyno family. Anyone with more information regarding these families in the Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, and Sub-Carpathia areas is encouraged to contact us.
