* Peeler Family BEGAN as "Buelers"*

Updated August 15, 2010

I spent over 7 years researching the archives and the getting inputs from many family members to generate what I am now putting on the internet. The push behind getting it on the internet now is that I have found out that I have a few other fairly close relatives that could find my info useful in their endeavors to a tree.

I am hopeful that I can somehow contact the many remaining family members and have them enjoy our family history. As I mentioned in the Title, The Peeler Family name began as "Bueller" and when the family landed in Pennsylvania it was immediately interpreted as being "Pueller". It progressed through the years in various locations throughout the United States and finally arrived at the present day spelling of Peeler. Most of the family remained in Pennsylvania, but others drifted down into North Carolina. They ended up fighting on opposite sides of the Civil War.
