I am researching information on the NORMAN's of Colquitt County, GA. My grandmother was Winifred NORMAN b. 10-17-1923. She is the daughter of Robert Franklin NORMAN and Berta Lee WEST. I am having trouble finding information on my grandmother who died when I was four years old. I have extensive name information on Robert Franklin NORMAN, James Thomas NORMAN, Jeremiah Bryant NORMAN and James Mitchell NORMAN. I would love stories and facts that anyone has to share on the NORMAN family. I have recently found that she is buried in Oakdale Cemetery. I cannot find a listing on that cemetery. If anyone knows where I can find it, please let me know.

I am also looking for any information on my mother, Betty Jean RICHARDSON's family. My grandmother was Fannie Ida RICHARDSON b. October, 1905. My grandparents were Wade Hampton RICHARDSON and Mellie Jane Martin RICHARDSON of Conway, South Carolina. I know most of her family lives in Conway, Horry County, South Carolina. I have visted the gravesite and I have many names and dates but I am not sure how we are related. Any information would be greatly appreciated. The RICHARDSON family bible was lost many years ago that would have answered many of my questions.

Thanks to Alice Purvis Cole, I have found some of my GORDON family. As it turns out, my grandfather was known as "DOC". He had 7 brothers named, Rache, Sonny, Tom, Jeff, Pat, Eddie and Wheeler. He had 1 sister named Alice. Thanks to this website, I can now begin my research on the family. THANK YOU ALICE!!!!

I am also researching information on my GORDON line. William Davis GORDON married Jessie Mae CANNON. They had 5 children, Paul Edward, Oris, Margaret, Frankie and Louise GORDON. They lived in the Moultrie, Colquitt County, GA area. William had 3 brothers, Pat, Eddie and Wheeler GORDON. Pat served as a sheriff in Polk County and Eddie served as a sheriff in Moultrie. Wheeler was known to play the fiddle. I am having trouble researching this family line and would appreciate any information anyone has.
