Hi! Welcome to my web page! This page is dedicated to my mother-in-law, Verda Anita PERKINS PEEK, who is always enthusiastic about learning and is an inspiration to me. It is also in memory of her aunt, Orlena DRENNAN, without whose wonderful stories and memories of her family this wouldn't be possible.
The PERKINS line begins in SC with Nancy b. ca. 1780 and I haven't found her husband and really need to in order to go any further. Their son, Elijah Littlteton Perkins b. 1820 in SC m. Mary Daniels in 1849 in Cass co. GA. Their first son Patrick Henry Perkins, b. 1849 in Cass co. GA is my mother-in-law's grandfather.
Patrick m. into the CHASTAIN line when he m. Elizabeth Jane in ca. 1871 and they had 4 children, one was Anita's father--Joseph Berry Perkins who was b. in Cherokee co., AL in 1874. The family was on the way to OK and TX when Elizabeth became ill and died. This left Patrick with 4 children to support by himself. He temporarily had them stay with some Elizabeth's family who were already in TX.
The CHASTAIN line goes back to France and I have included a family tree that can be linked to show the various lines. I lots of information on this line.
Joseph Berry PERKINS m. Nonnie Belle DRENNAN in 1912 in Hunt co. TX and they had one child--Verda Anita Perkins. Nonnie Belle's father was David DRENNAN, b. 1853 in Panola co, TX to William DRENNAN b. ca 1800 in SC. Please refer to the family tree for any further links to the DRENNANS. I need some help on locating William's parents and wife, who died early.
Please email me or write if you think you link with any of these. Thanks for visiting another one of my web pages!Check out my other page at http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Flats/3221
