The Joyce T. Peifer Family Home Page

I am researching the Nicholas Peifer family who settled in America in Lincoln Illinois some time in the 1850's. His wife's maiden name was Katherine Roach. They had seven children one of whom was my grandfather Thomas Lawrence Peifer. I am also researching my mother's family lines, namely her father William Gannon and her mother Mary Ann Garrlity. She was the oldest of 6 children. Her name was Kathleen Elizabeth Gannon. She married James Basil Peifer in 1920 and they had six children of which I am the third born. Both maternal grandparents emigrated from Ireland in the 1880's but met and married here in Chicago, Illinois. They were married in 1896.
