Elias Riddle lived near the Gasconade River in Pulaski County, Missouri. In 1886 he bought 80 acres of land near what is now called the Riddle Bridge. He is buried in the Riddle Cemetery near the river. The markers are still there.

Elias first married Nancy Hamilton and after she died in 1882 he married her sister Nancy. He had childred by both of these women.

The 1880 census shows he was born in Missouri, father was born in Tennessee and mother in Kentucky

Mrs M. E Kiplinger Dies At Osage Beach

Dies at home of daughter, Mrs Josie Jefferies Friday.
Funeral Service Sunday

Mrs Mariah E. Kiplinger died at the home of her daughter, Mrs Josie Jefferies of Osage Beach Mo Friday October 27 at the age of 80 after an illness of about a week.
Mariah E Pemberton was born October 19,1856. She was married to George Henson at the age of 15 years. He preceeded her in death a few years later. She was married to Noah Kiplinger in 1901. He preceede her in death in 1933.

She is survived by 4 children
Mrs parilee Devore of Topeka Kansas.
Mrs Delia Parish of Wichita Kansas.
Mrs Josie Jefferies of Osage Beach Missouri.
Mr Gilbert Henson of Montreal Missouri.

She also leaves 23 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren and other relitives.
She had been a member of the Baptist Church for many years.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 O'clock at the Freedom Church with burial in the Fredome Cemetery under the direction of Bankson-Woolery Funeral Sevice.
Rev. Virgil Smith oficiated at the service.
