"The Descendants of Philip Pendleton, A Virginia Colonist," was published by Heritage Books in 2007 after almost a decade of research. However, in the last two years much additional information has been brought to my attention and I felt compelled to edit and expand that work. The result is the recently completed Jan 2009 edition that represents my final effort in compiling and describing all the known descendants of Philip Pendleton in America. The Acknowledgments, Introduction, Pendleton Origins and Index of Names sections of the 2009 edition are provided by the "Related Files" links below. In the future, I plan to include other excerpts from the latest edition and other commentary.
For those interested in the 2009 edition, it is available by CD only. To obtain a copy, please contact me directly via email. For those interested in the 2007 book, a link is provided below. If you have already purchased the 2007 book and are wondering if you should bother with the 2009 CD edition, you may wish to review the Index of Names that contains about an 18% increase in the number of entries. In some family lines, I have made some significant revisions and additions. Moreover, the initial chapters describing the generations in England have been revised and expanded. Or you may simply want to contact me directly and discuss any changes.
You must have Adobe Reader to access the e-book “Descendants of Philip Pendleton.” If you do not have Adobe Reader you may download it free at the link below.
On a different note - I have also volunteered to cohost the Pendleton DNA Project Web site. It is dedicated to the use of Y-DNA testing to help find connections to Pendleton branches that previous genealogical studies have been unable to find. A link to the Pendleton DNA project web site is provided below. For those wondering, my participation in this project is indeed strictly voluntary.
