| Hi, I am new to genealogy research. I've been interested in genealogy for some time, but never had the motivation to begin the research. A co-worker, who reasearches her family history, renewed my interest and got the ball rolling. I am interested in gaining knowledge about the following family names from IL, KY, and MO mostly: Pennington (Cisne, IL area) Case (Cisne, IL area) Colson (KY and MO) Conyers (MO) Mills (Southern IL area) Dagley Acord (Southern IL area) A few of the facts I have learned so far: --Thomas Dagley (Revolutionary War era) was a distant relative of mine. The story is told that he was George Washington's baggage carrier. --I have seen some research done by others on the Acord family that dates back to the 1600's before the family migrated to the States. --My grandmother (Conyers) shared with me that I have American Indian ancestors in my lineage. Any unique information that you could share with me about these names would be greatly appreciated. Thank You! :) |
