| William Hagen McCarthy was born in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1906. He married Fay Elizabeth Mitchell 1930. They had one daughter, LuAnn McCarthy Penland. The family has lived in Little Rock, Arkansas for several generations. John H McCarthy was the father of Will, and Lena Lewis was the mother. Will had an identical twin brother, Christopher, and an older brother, Charles Lewis McCarthy. The Mitchells were from the area of Ewing, Missouri. Jet Mitchell married Elizabeth Hurt and they had 5 daughters and one son. I am also researching the Penland family of North Carolina. I am just learning about genealogy and would appreciate all the help I can get. As I gather information, I will be happy to share whatever info that I am able to obtain. |
