| I am researching the surnames: Peppel, Navroth (Nawroth), Lucas, Kluge, Spore (Spoar)and Sch"onh"ofer. The regions that my family lived in, to my knowledge, are Michigan (Peppel)and Indiana (Navroth, Lucas, and Spore). I know that a branch of the Peppels entered into the U.S. through Pennsylvania in the late 1700's. My branch came to the United States from Russia in 1913. Julius Peppel landed on Ellis Island in that year. Yet another branch came to the U.S. in 1955. I simply need any information that I can get. Is there any out there? Henry Spoar was a soldier in the Revolutionary War and lived in Virginia until about 1788. From there he moved to Indiana and they settled around Gibson Township and Princeton County. Great Grandfather Peppel's name is Julius Peppel (Born 1892, Died 1951)who married Lydia Gellert (Born 1895, Died 1986)and had 6 sons Samuel, Henry, Albert, Fred, Edward and John and 6 daughters, Ida, Linda, Ruth, Janie, Esther, and Elsie.
