We have just begun our search for ancesters . Ellen Buckley m. Isaac D. Young 3/3/1878 and fathered Claude Young 4/21/1879 in Moddersville, Michigan. Claude m. Hattie Catts, who was born 5/28/1883 to Cornelius Catts and Jeltje Bouwma, who were married 4/11/1872. Isaac was from Ireland, don't know where. Claude and Hattie's daughter Virginia married Z.Ford.Surnames for the Ford family include Kuykendahl,Camp,& Carl. Tom Carl , a taylor, left NY and went to Tn, Ala, Tn and finally settled in NW.Arkansas in 1836. FORD,CAMP, CARL, KUYKENDAHL,BUCKLEY, YOUNG,CATTS AND BOUWMA. ANY HELP APPRECIATED!.

18 April, 2000. Almost a year has gone by and a lot has been learned. Isaac YOUNGS was not from Ireland, but from NewYork State. His family may have been from Ireland, Scotland, Germany, or the Netherlands (Yungs). More names have been added to the list of ancesters: MARDICK, O'HARA, QUIGG. Have been able to trace CARLs and CAMPS back to the 1700's; would love to be able to prove DAR relationships.

The Fords came out of nowhere--earliest placement is in Illinois in early 1800's. Still have many brickwalls, but learning more all the time. Any and all help appreciated.
