Obituary
Elinor, daughter of Elder & Mrs R. P. Montgomery, President of Arkansas Conference, was born at Okmulgee, Oklahoma., January 23, 1918 and died at Fort Smith, Arkansas, December 16, 1927.
Elinor contracted the dreaded disease, diphtheria, was sick about one week, and duringthis time of great suffering she was patient and gentle always, ready and willing to receive any treatment without
complaint.
She lived a beautiful character filled with smiles and good wishes to every one.She was a good student in school and was loved by all.
We laid her to rest on the sunny slope of the beautiful Forest Park Cemetery, in Fort Smith, Arkansas,
amid a profusion of beautiful flowers, which was a fit symbol of the life she lived. She leaves to mourn a father, mother, and little brother and a host of friends.
It is with the hope of the first resurrection in view, that the sorrowing ones are very much comforted in the hour of their bereavement.Words of Comfort were spoken by the writer.

OUR DEAR ELINOR
----------------------------
tThe greatest blessing we ever had in our home was Elinor. She was always cheerful and happy. She was a loving, obedient child. She brought sunshine and happpiness to our hearts many times.
Elinor was taken ill suddenly and in spite of all we could do she fell asleep Friday night, December 16.We laid her to rest in the Forest Park Cemetary today. It was a severe trial to us but we are willing to say to our heavenly Father, "Thy will be done."He knows the end from the beginning.
Our friends have been exceptionally kind and sympathetic toward us in our bereavement. We truly appreciate all this.
Death is no respector of persons. He comes to the high and the low, the rich and the poor, the good and the bad.He is no respector of seasons. He comes in the springtime when all invites to live.He comes in the fall and winter when the leaves are falling.
"The melanchony days are come ,
The saddest of the year,
Of wailing winds and naked woods
And meadows brown and sere.
And then I come to think of one
Who in her youthful beauty died,
A fair meek blossom that faded by my side.
And in the cold moist earth we laid her
As the forest cast the leaf,
And wept that one so lovelly
Should have a life so brief."
We weep not as others who have no hope. Our hope is in Jesus and the resurrection. Then is when we shall meetElinor and all our faithful friends.
Mr. & Mrs R. P. Montgomery
