Notes for John Keeler:
John was among the successful petitioners in 1726 for parish status for Wilton, which became a seperate town in 1801. John died intestate and Nehemiah Grumman and Abraham Nash were named administrators. They filed a complaint against John Finch, son of John Keeler's second wife, concerning ownership of certain household articles. John Finch testified in court Jan 1, 1771 andreferred to his "mother Mrs. Sarah Keeler widow and relict of said John. " (Fairfield probate 3557)
