DERRICK ARESON (son of LEENDERT ARESON) was born Bet. 1635 - 1645 in Holland, and died 1678 in Flushing, NY. He married SARAH ORREST on Abt. 1650.

"His will, Oct 1, 1678 - Feb 21, 1679, calling him Dirick Areson of Flushing, and signed with his mark, provides for wife Mary and seven children (unnamed). He left his estate in Holland to his children "if it be recouered". The names of three sons, as such appear on Queens County deed book. A census of Flushing in 1698 lists Derick and Jon Areson, both without families."
