She was the daughter of 6. Andrew Cooper McKay and 7. Mary Jane Walt.

"Amiel Walton Andereson, Well driller. Born in Manistique, Michigan August 4, 1874 where he followed well drilling and threshing business. Was united in marriage to Miss Margaret McKay July 3, 1902 at Sault Ste Marie, MIchigan. They resided at Manistique, Michigan until 1924 with the exception of one year (1909) which was spent in the State of Washington. In 1924, they moved to Kingsford, MIchyigan where they now reside at 113 Quincy Street." (August Klagstad, Jan 1946 p21)

"Death Takes Widely Known Well Driller
Amiel Walton Anderson, 73, widely-known, well drilling contractor, died at 10 last night at his residence, 113 Quincey Street, Kingsford, aftere a long illness.
Mr Anderson, formerly in business in Manistique, moved here to go into business as a well driller specializing in heavy casing drilling. His work took him to all parts of the Upper Pennisula.
He leaves his widow, the former Margaret McKay, of Sault Ste Marie, whom he wed in 1902; two sons, Elwyn C. Anderson, Manistique, and Glenn C Anderson, who was in business with his father; four grandchildren, and two sisteers, Mrs. Alma Nelson, Muroc, Calif, and Jrs. Josephine Bodart, Green Bay.
Services will be held at 10 Saturday morning at the Freeman Funeral home with the Rev. Ewald Roell, pastor of the Gospel Tabernacle, officiating. The body then will be taken to Manistique for burial in Fairview cemetery."

According to the Lillian Anderson autobiography book of 2002, Amiel W Anderson died of 'heart problems'.

"I, Lexie Jane McKay Currie, of McCleary, Washington in the County of Grays Harbor in the U. S. A. do solemnly declare that (1) I am the older sister of the aforesaid. (2) I have personal knowledge of the matters herin and above setforth, and the information furnished is true in substance and in fact, and (3) that the parents of the said person are dead: that I am an older sister of such person that I am nine years her senior in age: that at the time of the birth, I was present in the house in which she was born, and have a distinct recollection of the said birth."

"94-Year-Old Kingsford Woman Dies.
Mrs. Margaret T Anderson, 94, of 113 Quincy St, Kingsford, a resident of this area for the last 47 years, died last night at Pine Manor Medical Facility in KIngsford, following a brief illness.
She leaves a son, Glen C. Anderson of Quinnesec, five grand children and 15 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Freeman Funeral Home from 6 to 9 pm Thursday.
Services will be held at 10 Friday morning at the funeral home. Rev. Tom Brown II will officiate.
Burial will be in the Manistique cemetery.
The family has requested that flowers be omitted."

"Glen Anderson
IRON MOUNTAIN - Glen C. Anderson, 77, of Quinnesec died Friday at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Mr. Anderson was born Oct. 12, 1912 in Manistique, son of the late Amiel and Margaret Anderson. He had been a resident of Quinnesec for 40 years.
He married the former Helen Jussila on June 7, 1951 in Holly Springs, Miss.
Mr. Anderson owned and operated Anderson's Well Drilling and Pump Co. in Quinnesec. He also was a US Navy veteran of World War II.
Mr. Anderson served as chairman of the County Board of Commissioners for two years, supervisor of Breitung Township for six years and was very active in local politics.
He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Iron Mountain, the UP Well Drillers Association and former member of the Masonic Temple.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Elwyn Anderson.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; daughter, Helga Lukesha of Biloxi, Miss., and two granddaughters, Kirstal and Kylene.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 6 pm Tuesday at Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain.
Services will be held at 6 pm Tuesday at Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home. Rev. John C. Stubbs will officiate.
Burial will be in Quinnesec Cemetery."

"tYYNE ANDERSON.
IRON MOUNTAIN - Tyyne (Helen) Anderson, 79, of Quinnesec, died Friday at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Anderson was born Dec. 27, 1910 in Julasjarvi, Finland and was the daughter of the late John and Magdalen Jussila. She came to the United States in 1917 at the age of seven. She graduated from Crystal Falls High School in 1931 and lived in Crystal Falls until 1951.
She married Glen C. Anderson in Holly Springs, Miss. on June 7, 1951, and has lived in Quinnesec since that time. She worked at the Breitung Township Schools as a baker for 15 years and also as a housekeeper for Dr. William Alexander and E. G. Kingsford.
She was preceded in death by her husband on June 8.
Mrs. Anderson was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
She leaves a daughter, Helga Lukesh of Biloxi, Miss.; two granddaughters, Kristal and Kylene; a great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 to 6 pm at Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 6 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Rev. John C. Stubbs will officiate. Burial will be in the Quinnesec Cemetery."
