Obituary: Northern Light, Lamberton MN Newspaper, January 28, 1926
Otto Peterson Dies Very Suddenly
Otto William Peterson passed to the Great Beyond last Sunday morning. The deceased's brother had passed away later Saturday afternoon and word was sent to him early on Sunday morning. The deceased and family prepared to take the car and drive to Sundown where Mr. Peterson's brother had preceeded him in death. Experiencing considerable trouble in starting the car, the deceased put a jack beneath the rear wheel of the car while one of his sons was using the starter. After the car had been started the young Peterson failed to notice the appearance of his father and upon investigating found him lying beneath the car dead. Death it was said was due to a stroke of Appoplexy. The deceased was born in Denmark in the year 1875 and came to America in 1894, stopping at Sleepy Eye. On the 6th day of September six years later he was united in marriage to Miss Christina Johansen. After their marriage they moved to Evan for one year. Later they decided to change locations and moved to their present location, four miles northwest of this city and have lived there since. To this union were born four girls and five boys. All whom survive their departed father. Besides the children there lives to mourn his untimely death four sisters. We have been informed that a third brother living in Denmark also passed away in Denmark the latter part of last November. Funeral services were held in the local Sharon Lutheran Church Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock and from the home at 1:30 p.m. Reverend Tollefson officiated.
