Frances Stead (daughter of Benjamin Stead and Frances Morley) was born Apr 28, 1807 in Eastport, ME, and died Mar 04, 1888 in Colorado Springs, CO. She married Rev. L. Rouse on Aft. 1825.

(3) Frances Stead was born at Eastport, Me., on April 28, 1807. She became the wife of Rev. L. Rouse, who for 20 years was general agent of the American Tract society, having in charge Michigan, Ohio and Indiana. In 1860 the family removed to Grinnell Ia., where he died. Mrs. Rouse, after a long and useful life, died at the home of her son, Frank I. Rouse, at Colorado Springs, Col., on March 4, 1888. Frank is her only surviving child.
