Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
The families I am researching include the Niemeyers from Recke, Westfalen, Germany, near Osnabruck; the Megels from Alsace Lorraine; and the Wineinger, Hubbard, and Elkins families in and around Jackson County, Indiana.
If you have information that differs from what I've shown here or if you have additional information or dates, or if you are simply a long lost cousin, I would love to hear from you!
Unknown Man (195 KB) Could this be Thornton Hubbard? There are several pictures that were taken at the same time that show a large flock of chickens. Thornton was blind his entire life, yet ran a hatchery. Is this him?
Unknown Man (340 KB) No writing of any kind on this picture.
Unknown Girl (196 KB) Alta Smallwood also had her picture taken next to this rock structure. Was this the Morton Wineinger home or possibly the Smallwood's?
Pferrers and Niemeyers (325 KB) August Pferrer, Henry Niemeyer, Alice Applewhite Pferrer, Kate Megel Niemeyer, Louise and Joseph Pferrer, Louis H. Niemeyer
Unknown Family? (252 KB) Is this Alta Smallwood Wineinger, Orpha and Morton Wineinger? Who is the smaller girl? Is this also Alice Z. Wineinger? My grandmother has said Orpha and Alice were very close.
Unknown Ladies (233 KB) Is this a group of ladies from the Ratliff Grove Church, or from a family gathering?
Unknown Couple (660 KB) Could this be Morton Wineinger and his first wife Sarah Elizabeth Kinworthy?
Unknown woman (454 KB) Front of photo has mark of "C.C. Anderson Kansas City, MO" yet back has an ink stamp of "Wright Vermilya; Brownstown, IND." George Smallwood and several Munden brothers were in Kansas City.
Unknown Girls (377 KB) Could this be Orpha Wineinger on the right with her cousin Alice Z. Wineinger?
Unknown Family (430 KB) Imprint on front reads "Bells, 110 Eighth St., Kansas City, MO."
Wineinger and Mobriney (398 KB) Pretty sure this is Orva Wineinger on the right. I have seen where he was a police officer in Indianapolis at one time. Back reads "Wineinger & Mobriney(?), Dist 54 7 PM - 3 AM, care of cap. popl., Forsythe operator"
