| Randolph Wren born c.1766, probably in VA, married Martha Jones, September 10,1789 in Southampton Co., VA and died May 9, 1843 in Itawamba Co., MS. Randolph Wren is found in 1803 Smith Co., TN, 1811 Warren Co., KY, 1818 Madison Co., AL, 1820 Lawrence Co., AL, 1837 Itawamba Co., MS. Binns Jones Wren, son of Randolph Wren, born November 14, 1790, possibly in VA, married Betsy Depew, September 27, 1811 in Warren Co., KY and died November 17, 1858 in Fayette Co., IL. B.J. & Betsy Wren move with her family from KY to IL (possibly via IN) where the Depews & Wrens are found in the 1820 Edwards Co., IL census. The Wrens are located in Fayette Co., IL by 1830. Washington Jones Wren, son of B.J. & Betsy Wren, born November 30, 1814, probably in KY, married Sophia McAliley September 24, 1837 in Madison Co., IL and died October 14, 1863 in Moultrie Co., IL W.J. Wren joined the Union Army with two of his sons. He became deathly ill about a year later and was sent home on 30 day medical furlough during which time he died. W.J. Wren's death left his wife, Sophia with 5 minor children including 10 year old twins, George Washington & Sophia Josephine. George Washington Wren born October 5, 1853 in Moultrie Co., IL married Mary Ann Baldwin April 4, 1883 in Moultrie Co., IL and died May 15, 1928 in Stevensville, Ravalli Co., MT. G.W. & Mary Ann Wren moved to South Fork Twp, Monroe Co., MO in the mid 1890's where their youngest child, Iva Irene, was born. About 1916 the family moved to Livingston, Park Co., MT. Only one of G.W. Wren's sons had children and they were all girls. Thus ends the Wren name in this line. |
