Notes for Carlton Leggett Kittle: [PierreMontras.ftw]
Carlton L. Kittle and his wife Amy Sara Montross moved to Lawrenceburg, Indiana in 1922, away from the security of family and friends. They left honorable family backgrounds, previously established in mid New York State. They lived here in Lawrenceburg, practically all of their adult lives, raised their children here, and were leading citizens in the community. Carlton became a respected community leader - Amy a devoted homemaker having been trained as a registered nurse. Most of their family have since moved away or died, (except one granddaughter Patricia Kittle, now Mrs. Bill Ritzman, daughter of Earl Kittle and Peggy Sellers). Because they represent the 1st generation of Kittles who lived their best years in Lawrenceburg, this history is presented in their honor and for perpetual memory.
