The Seamans family started in Swansea, Massachusetts with Thomas Seamans and Susanna Salisbury. My line went to Herkimer County, New York and then to Onondaga County, New York. Reuben married to Louisa Sheldon in Onondaga County and had one child, Lydia. Louisa died shortly after Lydia was born and is buried in the Delphi Falls Church cemetery. Lydia married to Charles Benjamin Wise and had two children, John and Louella and died around 1881. Reuben Seamans Sr., and his family moved to Michigan just over the Indiana line. Reuben Jr., died in Toledo, Ohio. Charles B. Wise brought his children to Detroit, Michigan where he married again. Would like to find cousins to share the history.
