Plan
Now to Come to Our Phelps/Walker Reunion!

Saturday, May 13, 2006
If you are a Phelps/Walker family member or
friend, mark your calendar, read all about it, and join us for another year of
food, fun, and family fellowship!
Where and When: Home of Mae and Gordon Phelps, 3842 Corbitt
Ridge Road, Mebane ~ Saturday, May 13, from 11:00-3:00 (directions on the back). “Rainy-Day Location:” American Legion Hut
(about 3.5 miles from Gordon’s).
What: “Old-Fashioned Reunion Pot-Luck
Lunch.” Each family brings enough food
(favorite dishes that travel well), for your family and others who are coming
from afar. The plates, cutlery,
napkins, beverages and ice will be provided.
On the big day we will “pass the hat” for contributions toward
reimbursing those who pay for these items & other expenses, like mailing
costs and nametags, so bring a few bucks along with your appetite.
What Else: From last year we had some “Phelps Reunion 2005”
t-shirts and caps that did not
find a home, so they will be on a big sale this year! ALSO--bring your smile! We want to get family shots, plus an entire
portrait of the whole gang. Please be
prepared to get with your family when the announcements are made, so that we
can better organize our “photo-ops.”
What to Bring: (Besides
the food!) Don’t forget portable chairs, a camera, your old pictures
(bring copies and Latham will add them to his fabulous Family Tree
project), musical instruments, any “heirlooms,” and Phelps/Walker
tales you want to share. Bring any Frisbees,
balls, fishing gear (for the beautiful pond), or other toys.
What to do NOW: RSVP
~ Lastly, we really need to have an idea of how many can make it on the 13th—please
let Latham Phelps know if you can come (336-852-5257 or wlphelps@bellsouth.net). Mailing
address: 2050 Hearthwood Ct.,
Greensboro, NC 27407). Letting him know NOW is better; but we need
to know at least by Wednesday, May 8.
Reunite with your family—see you there—we will have a great time
sharing old memories and making new ones! Now for the directions Þ Þ Þ
