They emigrated to America from Ireland around the middle of the 19th century , settled in Orange County , NC and later Alamance County when it split off of Orange County. They both were members of Cross Roads Presbyterian Church. It appears from John Walker's will that he married the second time as he mentions his wife's brother , Robert Morrow. The marriage records in Hillsborough , NC , Orange County show where a John Walker and Janet Morrow were married January 1812. John's 1st wife , Nancy died October 13, 1796 and he died March 1810 (Reference book entitled "the walker family". The date of marriage of the 11 boys is approximate. To marry then two people had to "Stand bond" like "Witness" today. The date of marriage was taken from the "Bond date".
