Clifford W. Phillips was born 7 January 1861 in Trenton, Pierce Co., WI to Charles & Sarah Jane (Lewis) Phillips.
On 28 June 1891 he married Ida Hunter, daughter of William & Cora (Thing) Hunter.
Clifford died 18 August 1894 at the age of 33 due to exhaustion.
