Andrew J. Kelley was born around 1858 in New York. He moved to Boston MA. and Married Ellen Coyne who was born in Boston, MA. My Grandfather Andrew T. Kelly was born 12/15/1878 in Cambridge, MA. His brother Arthur Kelley was born 03/12/1885 in Boston, MA.
Around 1890 both parents died. Andrew and Arthur were placed in State orphanage in Boston, MA for 3 years. Andrew and Arthur were seperated. Andrew was sent to Lee, N.H. to work on the Wiggins farm as a laborer. Andrew Kelley joined the 43rd U.S. Volunteer Army and fought in the Spanish American War. He married Anne Elizabeth Donahue in Woburn, MA. on 9/3/1909. They had 4 children. Andrew B. Kelley b. 1910 d. 1917, Barbara A. (Kelley) Harsh , Helen E. (Kelley) Pica , Dorothy W. (Kelley)Shepard
Andrew T. Kelley searched for his family up until his death in 1960. He never found them or his family roots. We are continueing the search to find our family roots.
