Magness Manuel Davis was born in NC about 1787 and died in Franklin County, AL in 1875. He married Beady Joiner, also born in NC about 1793. She died in 1878 in Franklin County, AL. They are buried at S27 T8S R14W. The had eight known children. Isom Johnathan Davis m: Jane Littrell, Mary "Polly" Davis m: Caswell Lindsey, Margaret Ann "Peggy" Davis m: Steve Scott, Alford Davis m: Sarah Ann Belzora McCarley, Edy Davis m: Franklin Creel, Morning Davis m: John A. McKinney, Lucinda Davis m: Benjamin Franklin Digby, James W. Davis m: Emily. All lived in Franklin or Marion Counties AL. Magness and Beady Joiner migrated from NC through TN into AL. Little is known about the ancestors of Beady Joiner.

Magness' parents were Willis Davis and Nancy from Franklin County NC. Magness' siblings were William Davis; Sarah Davis m: John Persons; Ransom Davis m: Nancy Maroni; James W. Davis m: Lucy Knight; Martha Davis m: James Wilson; Elizabeth Davis m: Moses Parker; Susan Davis m: William Caddell; Willis Davis m: Emmeline Bankston, 2nd Harriett Persons.

I have considerable information about the descendants of Magness and Beady. Also researching Pickford England, KY, TN; Travis TN, KY; Carter TN; Ozbirn GA, AL. I will appreciate any help and will share information freely.
