I am currently researching, on my father's side, the following surnames for the period 1850 - 1904: (1) My grandfather Clyde N. Pickler in Carbondale, IL, Jackson, TN and Memphis, TN - Clyde was born in 1881; (2) My great grandfather, Columbus Pickler in the same regions and during the same period -Columbus was born about 1852; (3) My grandmother Luna Mae Johnson who was born in 1881 and died in 1962, and her antecedants, also in the same regions and, (4) My paternal great grandmother Mary Reeves, who was born in 1856, married Columbus Pickler, died in 1904, and is buried in Carbondale, IL. On my mother's side, I am researching: (1) Relatives and antecedants of my maternal grandmother, Valentine Marie Louise Petit, who came to the U.S. from Bordeaux, France circa 1918; my great grandfather was Eli (sp?) Petit, also of Bordeaux and he had brothers Roger and Henri, and(2) Relatives and antecedants of my maternal grandfather, Jerry Forde of Waco, TX, who married Petit in France. Forde was born in 1895 and died in 1972. Any information would be greatly appreciated, and, of course, I will gladly share my findings. |
