Notes for William Glenn Herd:
Glenn Herd was a shoe repairman in Middlesboro, KY and had a shop there with his last wife, Marie. She was a seamstress and did alterations for local residents and for neighboring businesses. They lived on Chester Avenue in a two story house, complete with a parlor and hardwood floors.Glenn loved puzzles of all kinds. He would often put a pile of loose change on the table and whatever the grandchildren could scoop up with one hand was theirs. He ate Raisin Bran for breakfast and read his newspaper in the same order every day.Marie would make dresses for Bekki's dolls complete with a longer tail for carrying around the house. They had a chihuahua named Poncho that we all swore could say "I love you" and "cookie".The house was always spotless and the floors were always waxed. When Bekki married Bob, "Grannymarie" couldn't remember his name.It became a family joke and she called him "Sam" until she died.
