Melinda died given birth to Beverlys' son James Franklin "Jim" Jones. On the 27 June 1871. She was buried in the family cemetery "Jonesville Cem." but her grave is lost. She was married to her first cousin Beverly A. Jones.

Beverly married his first cousin Melinda Emily. She died while given birth to their child James Franklin Jones.Bev married his first cousin Melinda Emily, before marrying Sally Welch. Bev lived to be 100 years old! He died in his home in the Ford Chapel Community. He was a farmer. He was the son of Tibb 1. He came to Angelina Co.,Texas as a small boy and his family settled at Jonesville. He was a member of the Baptist Church. He was also a Mason. He is buried at the Glendale Cemetery with Masonic honors.
