Notes for JEWELL N. STEWART:
Jewell and her son-in-law Leonard Watkins were killed in a car accident. Leonard was Opal's husband. The tire blew out while they were visiting one of Jewell's daughters family and were heading home. Her fifteen year old daughter was injured in the car accident. Opal Watkins was also in the car and suffered severe lacerations to her left leg and a back injury. Alvin was age 10 and he had a compound fracture of the right arm. Wanda Jones age 15, and Walter Bartlett were also in the car.
In 1930 Rufus and Jewell are residing in Ardmore, Carter Co., Oklahoma with Dorothy and Opal.
