I am researching the Family of James Bradford Pier from Austin County, Texas. James Bradford Pier was born November 23, 1813 in Circleville, Ohio. He married Lucy Merry, the daughter of Ebeneezer and Charolotte Adams Merry, on March 26, 1834 and they immigrated to Texas in February of 1835. They settled at Travis, Austin County, Texas. He fought in the Battle of San Jacinto, and his name is engraved in the San Jacinto Monument. James and Lucy Pier had three children, Samuel Bradford Pier, Lucy, and Sarah Charlotte Pier.
James Bradford Pier is a descendant of William Bradford, Governor of Plymouth Colony. He is also a descendant of Richard Warren, John Alden, William Mullins, and William Brewster, passengers on the Mayflower.

I am also researching the family of Lucy Merry Pier. Lucy Merry was a descendant of Cornelius Merry, a.k.a. Cornelius the Irishman. His exact date and place of birth are unknown, but it is thought that he lived most of his life in Northampton, Massachusetts. He married Rachael Ball on August 11, 1663, in Northampton. His exact date and place of death are unknown. Cornelius and Rachael Merry had eight children.
