My mother,taken at the age of 28.She was born and raised in Scott Township,PA,the daughter of Lillie Mae Tripp and Burdick Allen Miller,a farmer and carpenter,who built his own home as well as many others.She became hearing impaired when she was about two years old,from an illness.She has been fluent in sign language since she was a young girl,though she now hears pretty well with the benefit of hearing aids.
