| The Pierce family from 1730 to date. It commences in 1730 with the granting of a licence for the marriage of Thomas Pierce and Katherine Griffiths, by the Bishop of St Asaph, Flintshire, Wales. From them to the descendants of their son William, to his namesake two generation on, who died in a tragic lead mining accident. The subsequent immigration of two of his sons too Nebraska, USA, and their descendants. My direct line from William to the present day, where one of my uncles never left his roots in Halkyn Mountain for 90 years, and in those 90 years only moved 20 meters from his birth place. |
