I am researching the Downs and Anderson families of Ocean County, New Jersey. George Henry Downs married Martha Jane Anderson, and resided in Berkeley Township, NJ during the mid 1800's. If anyone has any information on these individuals and would like to share, I would be terribly appreciative.

I am also researching (though it seems in vain) the Pierce family from Tracy, Minnesota and also of Ocean County, New Jersey. My grandfather was Dale Wilbur Pierce and his father was Carl Albert Pierce. I don't know much about his family at all and would love to hear from any fellow Pierces!

In addition, I am researching the family of Frederick Pashal Monahan, my great-grandfather. It seems as though his famiy will be the most challenging to learn about as he was supposedly orphaned at a young age. I do know that he was born in Canada (I believe New Brunswick) in 1899, and that he had several siblings. He moved to Lakehurst in Manchester Township, New Jersey and wed my great-grandmother, Edith May Downs. Fred was employed in Manchester at the Naval Warfare Engineering Center in Lakehurst, working in the Fire Department.

My family tree is constantly growing, yet in it's early stage it still consists of many surnames. Among some of the most prevalent are: Pierce, Gray, Monahan, Downs, Anderson and Cummings. I'm not nearly finished, and you'll see that I have a lot of incomplete information on many individuals, such as birth dates and places. If you would like to share information, feel free to contact me via e-mail at any time, and I'll update the tree with the new information.

My work has been verified by census records, public records such as birth, death and marraige certificates, many cemetery visits and personal interviews with family members. It is a collaborative effort, with the greatest assistance coming from some fellow tree growers - my Aunt Denise and my Aunt Dee. Thank you for all of your help!
