(J.A.'s brother, living next to John Cragmyle.
Robert S. Bond (her borhter) adm estate of Joseph Craigmile; William (another
brother) was guardian of the children.

Notes for JOSEPH CRAIGMILE:
Jane A. Bond b. 1812/1815, Owen Co., KY; married 22 Mar 1830 in Owen Co., KY Joseph Craigmile. He died in 1848, Robert Bond (#41) being appointed administrator and Granville Bond surety for the administrator's bond. On 20 Jun 1853, William Bond (#42) was appointed guardian for the orphans: 1) Robert W. Craigmile, 2) Mary Frances Craigmile, 3) Ann E. Craigmile, 4) Dallas Craigmile, and 5) John James Craigmile . William also petitioned for the dower of the widow, now Jane Lyons, to be determined . This was to be performed by Henry B. Gale, Jonothon Calvert and Lyle McHatton. The guardian settlements for Dallas and Ann Bond orphans can be found in Owen Co. Porbate Book E, p. 442 (23 Mar 1868). John James Craigmile would buy property in Gallatin Co., for which William would supply a mortgage (Gallatin Co., KY Deed Book 1, p. 69; 15 Feb 1869).

29. GEORGE GRANVILLE⁵ BOND (ROBERT⁴, JOHN³, WILLIAM², WILLIAM¹) was born 29 October 1814 in Scott, KY ⁸⁵, and died 22 February 1883 in Owen, KY⁸⁵. He married MARION JOHNSON 17 July 1845 in Scott, KY ⁸⁶. She was born 05 March 1824 in Scott, KY ⁸⁷, and died 06 April 1896 in New Liberty, Owen, KY⁸⁷.

30. ROBERT S.⁵ BOND (ROBERT⁴, JOHN³, WILLIAM², WILLIAM¹) was born Abt. 1819 in New Liberty, Owen, KY ⁸⁸, and died 1866 in Owen, KY. He married SOPHIA K. JOHNSON 03 February 1849 in Scott, KY ⁸⁹. She was born 09 March 1832 in KY ⁹⁰, and died 16 June 1868 in New Liberty, Owen, KY⁹⁰.

Notes for ROBERT S. BOND:
      Robert operated a tavern at his house around 1857 . With Granville Bond, he formed the Bond Brothers, who operated a hotel (or possibly just lodging in the tavern/house) in Sparta, Gallatin Co., KY, just across Eagle Creek from Owen Co. Together, they owned most of the town of Sparta, as it seems from the number of Sparta lots disposed of by Granville around 1870 . The hotel, which occupied lot #24 in Sparta, burned down by 1885, when the heirs of Granville sold the lot to James F. Bond .

      Robert S. Bond died about 1866. A suit is referred to in Owen Co., KY Orders Book G, p. 400 involving land which he sold prior to his death (147 acres bounded by his heirs, G.G. Bond, and Reuben Brown). Heirs Mary E., Sallie and Abbie are mentioned (18 Jun 1866). William Bond (Robert's brother) was appointed administrator of his estate with James F. Bond surety .

That Robert and Elizabeth had a son Robert S. (even though not mentioned in the
papers from Owen Co. Historical Soc.) is shown by the Owen Co. cemetery records
(976.9393 V380), in which there are 5 graves in location 188: two are Robert
Sr. and Elizabeth, one is Sophia "wife of Robert Jr." and one is Mary, "dau. of
Robert S. & Sophia".

Owen Co.:
JAMES F. Bond was born in Owen County, Ky., March 30, 1832, and is a son
of Robert and Elizabeth (Sale) Bond, natives of Virginia. Robert Bond,
who was a farmer, was brought to Kentucky by his father, James Bond, and
his wife, Mary (Sale) Bond, when he was a boy. John Bond immigrated to
Kentucky at a very early day, when that State was full of Indians.
Elizabeth (Sale) Bond was a daughter of Robert and Jennie (Hoard) Sale.
James F. Bond received a good practical education in the common schools of
his native county. He has made farming his chief occupation, and now owns
a farm of 500 acres, which he values at $15,000. In 1860, Mr. Bond married
Miss L. K. Tomlinson, and three children have blessed their union: William,
a physician at Sparta, Ky., James and Florence. Mr. Bond is a Democrat.
