• Charles Henry Davenport, b. ca 1849 Tennessee (65 KB)
  Charles Henry DAVENPORT was b. ca 1849 in TN. In Jan. of 1868 he married Sarah E. LACKEY in Weakley Co., Tennessee . In the 1870 Weakley Co. census they are living in Dresden with his parents, Steven & An M. DEVENPORT (Stephen & Mildred Ann ABERNATHY DAVENPORT). In the 1880 Sharon Station census Charles is with his wife, their 3 sons, his mother, Mildred and a John LACKY (brother-in-law?) The 1920 and 1930 census finds him in Wayne, McClain Co., Oklahoma. In approximately 1934 Charles endeared himself by writing a DAVENPORT family history.
