| This research is the result of ten(10) years of research.I have received assistance from one very special lady.Aside from that I have made every effort to includeall of the branches, limbs, leaves and sprouts of my families, both paternally and maternally. On the maternal side of my family, Hannah Chapman Clough began her journey in Virginia and progressed to Evergreen, Alabama.Reuben Matthews (b 1792)eventually arrived in Blacks Bluff (Wilcox County), Alabama.His children, all of whom are grandparents, eventually ended up inEvergreen (Conecuh County), Alabama.The leaves from these roots can be found in Pennsylvania, Louisiana, Florida, Michigan, Ohio and Alabama. The roots of my Paternal ancestors were also initially planted in Virginia soil during slavery, as well.Their journey brought them to Monroe County, Alabama.I have not concluded tracing all of the brances and sprouts on this side of my family, but I know that Hannah Cunningham and Hannah Bracy's limbs and sprouts cam be found in Connecticut, Alabama, Florida, and Ohio; perhaps in even further distant places. | Nell Glen Pierce Stott, Ed.
