My father built the first unground lighting system to the runways at Shaw AFB, Sumter, SC. He also help put in the first electrical lines to the beaches of South Carolina. He was a Hot Line Supervisor for Sumter Builders, Sumter, SC.
He was raised on a farm in Bamberg County, SC. His hobby was gardening. He kept a garden year round. He butchered and cured his own meats. Daddy was a very strong man having boxed in his youth.
