NEAL - Joseph Neal and his family settled in Callaway County around 1831. His children at that time were - William, George, Joseph J., Thomas, John, Benjamin, Caroll A., Mary A. -- Benjamin, brother of Joseph Neal, married a Miss Walker, and settled in Callaway County in 1831. [page 363]

Neal/Nail- researching the NEAL family of Lauderdale Co., AL. Am unable to go back beyond my Ggrandfather Thomas Paine NEAL, b-1811 in Tn. d-1869 in Lauderdale Co. Wife #1 Emaline F. BROWN gave him two children Sarah E. and Eliza Neal who died in child birth. #2 Amanda WALKER who gave him 10 more children among which my Grandfather Willian Jasper NEAL b-1857 -d 1939. Thomas P. is in the 1850 Lauderdale Co. census as Thomas P. NAIL. Any info as to His parents and/or siblings greatly
