In the 1783 Spanish Census of East
Florida (http://www.petersnn.org/petersnn/1783.html) his brother Samuel is noted.... (see more on Samuel for full documentation)
"At the evacuation of Charles Town, he went to East Florida, taking his wife and four children, and four slaves with him. There they lived on Doctor's Lagoon."....

"ANDRE, Samuel - N. Carolina planter - married with 4 children - undecided to
remain or leave; he has 4 slaves and 1 horse; farms and lives on a vacant
estate on Doctor's lagoon on the other side of the St. Johns River; his
brother lives with him, a bachelor called John."
So it appears he followed his Loyalist Brother. Not sure if John proceeded to Nova Scotia as well.

3. THOMAS2 ANDREWS (THOMAS1) was born Abt. 1740 in North Carolina, and died Bet. 1778 - 1815 in South Carolina. He married ELIZABETH ??. She was born in North Carolina, and died Unknown in South Carolina.

Charleston County, SC, Will Book RR, page 240- [All SC Will's were recorded in Charleston County Records prior to the 1770's] Will of William Ticer, dated 7 June 1763, Proved 8 July 1768, Recorded- No Date Given. Will signed in Georgetown District, SC
COMMENTS- Thomas and Elizabeth Andrews signed Will as witnesses.

William Ticer being the husband of Elizabeth Jordon, who was Thomas's half sister.

It appears they settled in the Williamsburg area before moving to Darlington, SC.

There is a Thomas Andrews on the 1790 Cheraw District, SC Fed. Census- St. Thomas Township
It appears that this is possibly this Thomas with the son Thomas still living at home, and a 2 female's at home as well. There is also a Mary Andrews in same area.

There is a David Chaney (only Chaney Listed) on the 1790 Cheraw Dist. SC census (later became area of Darlington). His wife Lucy Andrews could have been born bet. 1760 & 1765, and this may be there large family, or this may be David's Father.
