Mattie was the 3rd child born to Peyton Parker & Nancy Hobbs. She married Elijah Atchley, a 7th Day Adventist Preacher. Elijah had at least one child by his first marriage, and he & Mattie had six children. Mattie moved to California after Elijah died, where all of her children were living.
