Mrs. Mary (Pitts) Brown, 80, died at the home of her son, J.A. Brown, on Stones River Thursday after a long illness. She was born and reared in Cannon County and was a member of the Church of Christ. Funeral services were conducted at the home Friday at 3 o'clock by Rev. E.T. brazell. Among the survivors are two sons, Bob, of Nashville, and J.A. of the 7th district, and one daughter, Mrs. (Eliza) Noah Barrett of the 7th district, and one brother, J. B. Pitts, of the 8th district, also several grand children. Burial at the Coldwater Cemetery on Stones River with Winnett Funeral Company in charge.
